TVS Motor Company has expanded its lineup with the launch of the new premium commuter motorcycle, the Raider, which competes with the Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 and Honda SP 125 in India. The Raider is offered in three variants: Drum, Disc, and Connected.

All variants feature a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine delivering 11.2bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm, mated to a five-speed transmission. The bike boasts a 0-60kmph acceleration time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 99kmph.

The Raider flaunts a modern design with LED headlight, body-colored headlight cowl, front fender, split-style saddle, aluminum grab rail, and engine cowl. It comes in four color options: Striking Red, Blazing Blue, Wicked Black, and Fiery Yellow.

Both variants offer standard features like LED headlight with integrated LED DRLs, LED taillight, five-inch digital display, Idle Stop-Start system, two ride modes (Eco and Power), and under-seat storage. The Connected variant has additional features, including a color TFT display, Bluetooth system, Voice Assist with TVS SmartXConnect system, navigation, voice assist, incoming calls, and message notifications. A USB charger is available as an optional extra.

The suspension system consists of 30mm telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock. Braking is handled by drum units on the base version, while the disc variant has a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum. The combined braking system ensures safety across all variants.
